Our teaching staff called “mentors”. They mentor the children in all areas of learning/life, as children learning from every trait and character they exhibit.

It is important to us that each unique child leaves Nursery with adequate literacy foundations that will make them successful in the years to come. Some children are ready to read, already reading while others are developing their skill as they come into Nursery. Every child’s natural desire to learn is fostered to ensure they are able to read.

Omomi Preparatory School is opened all year round except on Federal Government holidays.

We provide bedspread and duvet for all the children which, are washed every other day. However, parents are allowed to bring in theirs from home.

Infants and toddlers all come with their individual sleeping patterns. Omomi Preparatory School will try to meet the patterns while getting them into the routine of the Daycare. Each day before/after lunch will be resting time.

All our mentors are university graduates with experience in childcare. They continuously upgrade their education through in house workshops, independent study, and researching topics of interest to keep themselves inspired, fresh and up to date. We have a principal who is responsible for all the academic planning and welfare in the Daycare and support staff who are responsible for the general cleaning.

At Omomi Preparatory School, we value every child thus we maintain a learning environment where pupils can feel confident, happy and safe. We encourage positive behaviour and strongly ensure that:

-pupils are able to learn without been distracted by anybody.

-property of others as well as school property is respected.

-full potential of each person must be nurtured.

However, when a child needs to be re-directed, the child is made to go on occasional “time out”, so as to reflect on what he or she has done. After 5 minutes, the mentor approaches the child to have a conversation about what he or she has done. If the behavior persists, deprivation of toy or activity will be done. If the behavior of such child does not get any better, the parents will be called in for further discussions regarding the child’s conduct.

There are several policies that guide our practice at Omomi Preparatory School such as; Health, safety and environment, hygiene, social media, anti-bullying policies to name just a handful. The comprehensive pack would be shared with you during the admissions process
